 Feedback after the Daisy Tournament

We travelled to Van der Bijl park this weekend to play in the daisy tournament and also check out he Pool and other facilities.

We were very dissapointed when we arrived to find the pool green and limited vis. Apparently the pool pumps packed up last week and with al the rain the pool went green. We have been assured that the situation will be corrected before clubs.

We got in and everyone had a friendly game to test the bottom. The bottom is extremely slow and experimentation with different pucks is going to be necessary.

Overal the facilities are great, with large expanse areas of lawn, a diving pool with a very big slide. The pool is situated close to all the amenities and the local talent is not too bad. You can have a look at my photo album for pictures of the pool and general layout of facilities. There also a couple of pics from Nationals.

There is a lot to do in the area in terms of pubs, clubs casino etc, make sure you
check up with the locals like Steve Gore to find out where to go. Have a look at Steve's Photo Album for us having jawl on Steve's boat after the Daisy Tournament.

If you got contacts with some locals there is plenty skiing and fishing on the vaal river which is close by.

Overall I think the venue is excellent except for the bottom of the pool, hopefully we can find a suitable puck that will make it a b it faster and not to sticky and slow.

See you at clubs next week...
